Customer Service Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to join our team. This is an on-site, part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role.  This is not a typical customer service position. We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging with customers and takes pride in helping bring their unique requests to life. A genuine interest in pastry or the culinary arts would certainly be the cherry on top.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with customers to transform complex or custom requests into practical, on-budget solutions

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth and accurate order fulfillment
  • Assist with final assembly of customer orders
  • Present and display products for sale in the retail area
  • Provide friendly, attentive service that reflects our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction

Morning Customer Service  Personnel 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Person to join our team. This is an on-site, morning part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role. We are looking for someone to take orders, crafting espresso-based drinks, restocking inventory, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment .

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Warmly greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items and ingredients.

  • Food and Beverage Preparation: Preparing coffee, espresso drinks, teas,  to recipes and portion standards.

  • Cashier Operations: Operating POS systems, processing payments (cash/credit), and balancing the register.

  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sanitizing workstations, dishes/utensils, and cleaning machinery like espresso machines and grinders.

  • Inventory Management: Restocking supplies (cups, milk, bakery items) and participating in inventory checks.

Common Skills and Requirements

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods (6–8 hours) and lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
  • Attention to Detail: Following exact recipes and maintaining high quality for delicate pastries and specialty Drinks.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating in high-intensity, fast-paced environments to fulfill customer orders.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Cake Decorator (Full Time or Part Time)

   We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for following designs and decorating cakes and pastries that exceed customer expectations for quality and appearance. You will work closely with our decorating staff and customers to bring creative visions to life for various occasions, including birthdays, bridal and baby showers and anniversaries. This part-time position with the potential to transition into a full-time role.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Decoration: Apply creative techniques such as piping, sculpting, airbrushing to decorate cakes and pastries.
  • Preparation: Prepare various icings, fillings, and frostings (e.g., buttercream, ganache, royal icing) according to standard recipes and client preferences.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all products meet established standards for freshness, taste, and visual appeal.
  • Maintenance & Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of products  and ingredients, and bakery supplies reporting needs to management as required.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of color theory for blending buttercream and coordinating palettes.
  • Basic math skills for recipe conversions and budget calculations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability: Flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings
